colorful clouds trespassing calm landscapes — that’s the blossom project, the result of a collaboration between french photographers isabelle chapuis and alexis pichot. from morocco to the US and turkey, the pair travels around the world looking for the perfect setting to let their colorful clouds create ephemeral and vivid compositions.

the blossom project by isabelle chapuis and alexis pichot adds a sensual layer to abandoned cityscapes and desolated landscapes. through the use of colored smoke bombs, the series turns these spaces — even if it’s just for some minutes — into dreamy, fragile and mysterious scenes. with the images, the duo aims to raise awareness on human interventions created on earth by suggesting human presence among the natural or abandoned landscapes.
